Emma White commenced as Executive Director with the Centre for Legal Studies in February 2023. Emma has a range of experience as a legal practitioner in Tasmania commencing her career after graduating from UTAS in 2006 and then the Tasmanian Legal Practice Course in 2007. Emma has held roles as a senior practitioner and Practice manager with Slater and Gordon and more recently as a Consultant with Simmons Wolfhagen. Emma has a background in civil litigation, specialising in personal injury, including workers compensation, medical negligence, and motor vehicle accident claims.

Susie Winter commenced as the Deputy Director of the Centre for Legal Studies in September 2020. Susie graduated from UTAS in 1991 and was admitted to practice after completing of the Tasmanian Legal Practice Course in 1992. Susie spent several years in private practice before moving to the Legal Aid Commission of Tasmania (now Tasmania Legal Aid) in 1998. Susie remained with the Legal Aid Commission in various roles for over 20 years and during this time became an accredited family dispute resolution practitioner, working as a family law mediator in both the private and public sector.

Ella Crosswell commenced as the Executive Officer with the Centre for Legal Studies in 2023. Ella is currently pursuing her law degree at UTAS and has a background in private practice as a personal assistant within the personal injury area.
